3 podcast episodes I enjoyed recently
Team performance, fixing frictions and being a supercommunicator
Hey everyone! The last few weeks have pretty busy on my side so no long-read from me this week.
Instead I wanted to share a few podcast episodes that came out recently which I highly recommend in the People or Org psychology space.
Scott Galloway’s conversation with Claire Hughes Johnson about team performance - Claire’s book “Scaling People” is a must read for anyone trying to work out how to scale their team and their company operating system. She and Scott have a really interesting conversation about performance culture and how to build effective teams.
Adam Grant’s conversation with Bob Sutton about fixing frictions - Bob and Adam are both organisational psychologists and they discuss Bob’s new book “the Friction Project” which is about diagnosing the fixing issues with your workplace. Bob’s view of companies is pretty aligned with mine and his thinking on workplace frictions is definitely worth a read.
Michael Gervais’s conversation with Pulitzer prize winning author Charles Duhigg about “Supercommunicators” - Charles Duhigg’s recent book is about how to genuinely engage and communicate with others. Michael (a psychologist) and Charles talk about meaningful interactions and how empathy increases the impact of your words.
